New Year's Eve

We ended the year with a weinie and marshmellow roast at Mema's and Papaw's. The real reason we were there was collect pecan wood. When I was out there earlier this week, Papaw had trimmed all of his pecan trees. Michael uses alot of pecan wood at the fire station so he went out to collect some. They stacked and burned the rest of the brush. Memaw thought we should have a weinie roast since we were going to have a good fire. So Michael and the kids went out to their house around 11:00. I went to the store to gather roasting items and I went out around noon. Other than the north wind that blew in, it was very comfortable. The kids had a great time. They especially loved riding the four-wheeler with Papaw.

Just Playing Around

Michael has been at the fire station for the past 48 hours. The kids and I have been busy playing instead of cleaning. Michael will be so proud of us when he gets home...



The dogs even started playing with us tonight. Allie was playing fetch when Dottie decided to play tug-o-war with her. They moved too fast for a picture.

Since Daddy is at the fire station, the kids decided to make their own dinner, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. All I can saw about these pictures is that we believe in safety first.

The kids promised me that they would clean their rooms and then we would watch Meet the Robinsons. Well....we found The Sound of Music on t.v. I can't deny them a classic. I am going to clean their rooms while they wait for the do-re-me song.

Housecoats

When we are in Oklahoma, my dad wears a housecoat when he cooks breakfast. So last year my mother made Brock a housecoat so that he could be like Grumps. Ever since then, Addison has wanted a housecoat too. So guess what she got for Christmas from my parents....

Wild Hogs

On Wednesday, Mac (my nephew) and Logan killed wild hogs. Brock thought this was the coolest thing he had ever seen. He wants to kill one even more now.

They had to pull them out of the creek with Grumps' tractor. That is why you see chains and alot of blood. The joy of growing up country :)

Christmas in Oklahoma

We are home! I am ready to sleep in my own bed, by myself :) (Michael is at the fire station) Brock slept with me every night in Oklahoma. Addison ended up with a double ear infection the entire time we were up there. Her eardrum burst on Christmas Eve. It was not a fun time for her. She crashed in her bed (without being told to go to bed) by 8:30 tonight. She was glad to be back in her own bed too! Other than Addison's illness, Christmas was good for the kids. They loved their Santa gifts.

Addison went to the doctor on Wednesday. She is doing much better now....just tired. Brock enjoyed driving the tractor, feeding the cows, and just being in the woods. One more week before we go back to school....

Build-A-Bear

On the day of Brock's Christmas program, one of Addison's friends had a birthday party at Build-A-Bear Workshop. I promised Addison we would take her another day since she had to miss the party. So after school today, we headed to Firewheel Mall and this is what we got...

Starting tomorrow we will be on vacation! We all survived three Christmas parties today. My classroom party, a kindergarten party, and a three year old party.

Brock's Christmas Program

Brock had his first Christmas program on Saturday afternoon at Galaxy Ranch. It was extremely crowded for us and very overwhelming for Brock. He just stood there on the first song....he finally smiled at the end when he spotted us in the crowd. He sang on the final song, but he had two crying kids standing beside and in front of him so we couldn't see him real well.
