Opening Day

Today was Brock's first t-ball game. He is playing through the very large church in Rockwall. This is not a competitive league....yet. It was pretty funny watching the boys learn the game. Brock was extremely nervous before the game. He said he just wanted to practice, not play against another team. He thought they were going to be really good. Once he figured out they were just like him, he had a great time. I tried to load the video of his very first at-bat, but it put it on the bottom of this post. Michael is assisting the husband & wife coaching team. Brock thought it was cool that his Daddy was on the field with him. This was after his first at-bat. Obviously, something didn't go the way he wanted at first. But he got over it pretty quick.

The coach was good at moving the boys around the field. Brock is playing left field here.

Now we are in right field. His best friend, Ethan, is beside him. At one point, they were seeing who could wear their hat the funniest way. Of course, the game continued while they were doing this.

Coach B getting Brock ready.

Look at that form....that's our boy!

Brock playing first base...notice the ball got past him =)

Daddy giving some instructions, Brock is still on first.

Talking to Gracie after the game....she can out play most of the boys!

After game snack and time to relax.

The diva didn't care for the game too much. The only reason she hung in there was so she could go shopping after the game. It paid off for her!

Brock & Ethan....buddies for life!

Addison did not hit Ethan with the bat. I'm not sure what she was doing.

Big stories are being told here....

Our very first at-bat.
I was going to video him running down the baseline, but I got so excited when he hit the ball that I accidently hit the pause button!?!

This is going to be a great experience for our little baseball man!

Boot-Scootin' First Grade

It is a tradition in Mrs. Henderson's first grade to celebrate Texas history by having a rodeo. This past Friday was Addison's big day. She had many rodeo activities, her Daddy grilled lunch for the entire first grade and the Rockwall Sheriff brought some of their horses out to the school. She had a great day! Posing in my classroom before day started
Running the barrels on her unicorn!?! It was really a borrowed unicorn. Stick horses are hard to find....even at Tractor Supply.

She was soooo not impressed with the horses =(
After attending a birthday party from 6-8 last night, we were worn out. It was a good day!
