A Restful Thanksgiving

We have had a wonderful and very restful Thanksgiving holiday. We spent Wednesday afternoon getting the kids pictures taken for our Christmas cards. Most of Thursday was spent preparing the most wonderful meal ever cooked. One of my friends from school came over and spent the day with us. Later in the evening, our neighbors came over to watch the game (in Texas that would be the UT/A&M game.) On Friday, we put up our Christmas things.....pics coming soon. Today we put the finishing touches on our decorating, attended a birthday party and went out to eat at Logan's Roadhouse. Michael and Brock did a little shopping while we were at the party. Brock got a basketball goal and new basketball shoes. It's that time....his first basketball practice is on Monday and the games start soon.

We have so many things to be thankful for this year.....we live a life full of daily blessings. One of the newest things on my list is our new hardwood floors and my sweet husband who spent endless hours shopping, comparing prices and matching colors. Merry Christmas to me.....this year, next year, the next year and the one after that =)

Here are some before and after pictures.

Ethan's Birthday Party

Yesterday morning, we headed to big D to celebrate Ethan's 6th birthday at the Museum of Nature and Science......one of Brock's favorite places. The kids had alot of fun and it was great to spend time with Brock's BF, Ethan.Ethan, Brock & Addison

A & B making their way through the spider web.

Now they are being ants right before they headed into the huge ant mound.

This is only fitting since Brock battled an ant bed a few weeks ago. Let's just say that he lost and ended up with 43 ant bites on his little body. Benadryl was his friend!

We spent a (much needed) quiet night at home.

We leave you with the beautiful Texas sunset.

50's Day

On Tuesday, we celebrated the 5oth day of school. Addison wore her poodle skirt (for the 4th time) but added her Pink Lady jacket. We also found her cute pink glasses the weekend before. She was digging those glasses. She wore them all day. Brock's outfit was pretty simple, but cute. He didn't have enough hair to slick over so we did what we could and plastered it down with hairspray.

Zulie gives them a sugar rush before school when we go up to the office.

Before we left the house

Addison had a great day. If it involves dressing up then she is all in. Brock did good, but he came to put his tennis shoes on about 1:00. Then he became a boy with jeans and a white shirt. Just like we like him!
